The first restaurant we ate at that made us truly feel like we wanted to live in Tarpon Springs was Rusty Bellies Waterfront Grill. Located almost at the very end of the sponge docks, Rusty Bellies is a Tarpon Springs staple with good seafood, reasonably-priced drinks, and gorgeous views.
We walked to Rusty Bellies around 5:45 and arrived a little after 6:00. There was a wait, which seems to be normal, especially in these Covid 50% occupancy times. Luckily, there were places to sit out front and there was live music. After an hour, we were sat outside by the water just in time to enjoy sunset.
We didn't order drinks at the table because we brought them in from outside, so we ordered entrees only. Vicky as our server and she was sweet, even when I changed my order from lobster mac n cheese (pictured) to shrimp mac n cheese. My husband loved his crab linguine (also pictured). He'd never even had seafood pasta before!
If you're visiting tarpon Springs, Rusty Bellies needs to be on your list. Period.
